In the last decade, there has been a lot of talk about the benefits of barber shops for women. In the early days, when my husband and I were looking for a barber shop to use, we went to the local one in the city.
When we first visited the local barber shop, we were floored by the amount of grooming the staff was going through. It was so relaxed and friendly, and they even had a little bar with a menu of a few drinks. I was amazed that they actually had a barber here! We also tried The Shoppes of the Month, which did not disappoint.
The barber was one of the most popular men in town, and he was definitely the reason I was visiting. So, as you can imagine, most of the local barbers didn’t know who he was until I checked out their profile. And while the man who was supposed to be the barber was a nice guy like him, the guy who was supposed to be a barber was a little bit of a jerk.
He was a little bit of a jerk because he was probably the only one who didn’t show up at the barber shop when I entered, but I don’t think it would have been a problem to ask him if he was a barber. I guess he’s a little bit of a jerk because the rest of us were just as clueless as there was.

Robbers are one of those things that seem to have been around forever. It’s so hard to tell the difference between the old-school barbers, the new-school barbers, the big-box stores, and the internet barbers.
