Ethics Policy

Ecom Hub’s ethics policy governs how our editors handle independence, conflicts of interest, gifts, and sources. It sits alongside our editorial policy.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial interests. No advertiser, affiliate partner, or sponsor sees coverage before publication or has any right of approval over it. Whether a company runs an affiliate programme has no bearing on whether — or how favourably — we cover it.

Conflicts of interest

Contributors disclose any material financial or personal interest in a company or product they cover. Where a conflict cannot be avoided, it is disclosed on the page or the assignment is reassigned to another editor.

Gifts, trips and review units

We do not accept payment, gifts, or perks in exchange for coverage or a favourable verdict. Where a vendor provides temporary access or a review unit for testing, it comes with no conditions and no sight of the review before publication, and we disclose it.

Sources and accuracy

We prefer primary, on-the-record sources and link to them so readers can verify. We protect confidential sources where appropriate and never fabricate or embellish a quote. Factual claims are checked before publication.

Corrections

We correct verified errors promptly and note substantive corrections. See our corrections policy.

Government non-affiliation

Ecom Hub is not a government publication and never implies otherwise. See our non-affiliation notice.
