Editorial Policy

These are the standards every Ecom Hub article is held to. They exist so you can trust what you read here — and hold us to account when we fall short.

1. Accuracy and sourcing

Every factual claim should be verifiable. We cite primary sources — official documentation, pricing pages, filings, and first-party data — in preference to secondary reporting. When we rely on a third party, we link to it so you can judge it yourself. If we can’t verify something, we either leave it out or clearly label it as unconfirmed.

2. No fabrication, ever

We do not invent facts, statistics, quotes, testimonials, user reviews, ratings, case studies, or people. If a number appears on Ecom Hub, it comes from a real, checkable source. If a person is named or quoted, they are real and the quote is accurate. Placeholder or illustrative figures are always labelled as such.

3. Independence from advertisers

Commercial relationships never determine editorial verdicts. Reviews are written independently of whether a product has an affiliate programme. An editor can recommend a free tool over a paid one, and regularly does. No advertiser sees coverage before publication or has approval over it.

4. Affiliate links are disclosed

When an article contains affiliate links, a clear disclosure appears on that page, near the top of the content. We explain the full policy in our affiliate disclosure.

5. Testing and hands-on work

For reviews and comparisons, we prioritise hands-on use and direct verification of features, limits and pricing. Where we haven’t been able to test something directly, we say so and explain what our assessment is based on. Our full process is in how we review.

6. Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Substantive corrections are noted on the article. If you spot a mistake, tell us via the contact page and we’ll fix it.

7. Use of AI tools

We may use software, including AI-assisted tools, for research support, drafting assistance, and editing. A human editor is responsible for every published article — its accuracy, its sourcing, and its judgement. We do not publish unreviewed machine-generated text, and AI is never a substitute for verification.

8. Conflicts of interest

Contributors disclose any material interest in a company or product they cover. Where a conflict can’t be avoided, it is disclosed on the page or the assignment is reassigned.

9. Editorial personas and bylines

We publish under consistent editor names by beat. We do not use stock photography to impersonate staff, and we do not invent professional credentials. As named individual contributors join the team, they are credited on our editorial team page.

10. Independence from government

Ecom Hub is not a government publication and is not affiliated with any public authority. We publish nothing on behalf of any government body. See our non-affiliation notice.
