Many people are now investing in ICOs crypto gaming, but even so there is still a lot of misunderstanding about how to promote them. In this post I will try to summarize the information that you need and then explain some of the different marketing strategies for promoting ICOs.
The key is not to invest more than you can afford to lose and never invest money you need for food or rent in an ICO guest posting sites.
1. Before investing in an ICO
Do the following:

The only exception is if the project promises that in future they will launch their own blockchain, but that is still very risky.
– If it is not an ERC20 token, you need to check how many of the tokens are going to be issued. Usually the team should be able to provide this information in their whitepaper or on their website. – Try to find some information about the team and its background. If there are people from the industry or from academia involved, this is a good thing. If there are no blockchain experts and it is just a Joe Random person, this is a big red flag. – Try to understand why you should participate in the ICO and not in other ICOs of the same project. What makes this project more attractive? Don’t try to compare with others — each project has its own features that make it unique and valuable, so use them to justify your investment decision.
2. After investing in an ICO
Do the following:
– Do not ask many questions. The team members will see this as a sign that you are not confident and they will do everything they can to gain their trust. – Do not forget to support the project by participating on Reddit and other social channels when the project starts working. They need all the help they can get at this stage. – Try to find out about any upcoming token sales of similar projects and consider selling your tokens for a profit, maybe even before the ICO is over.
– After the ICO, check the site and look at the roadmap. If you are not sure whether it is worth keeping your tokens, consider selling them on Bancor tokensale or EtherDelta.
3. The best ICO promotion strategies
The most effective strategy of promotion depends on a couple of factors:
– Who are you promoting the project to? – What do they need? – How much will you invest in promotion?
For example, if you want to promote a project to Russians, it is better to consider investing in Google Adwords. As they are using Google services and have an average income, they will be more likely to hear about it and most likely will invest in the project. However, if you are looking to promote a project among Europeans, you should invest in various PR related campaigns.
I would like to point out that I am a strong believer that every ICO should have their own unique promotion plan and social channels. Even if a project has an awesome marketing team and is backed by big players, their success depends mainly on how much effort — time, money or both — you are willing to put into the promotion of the project.
I am also a strong believer in “follow the crowd”. If you are promoting a project to a group that is already interested in it, then most likely they will follow your channels and make their own decisions about investing or not. What if they are not following you? Then consider investing in Adwords or other monetizing channels, which will be more effective if the project has some sort of community building mechanisms.
